McHenry Library Classroom and Meeting Room

The McHenry Library Reference Unit maintains an instruction room on the second floor of McHenry Library. This classroom, 2353, is located near the McHenry Reference Desk.

The Library Classoom, when not in use for instruction, may also be booked for Library staff meetings. Reservations are booked through the REQUEST form, which is monitored regularly by Reference Unit staff, or by contacting Amy Chirman (chirman@ucsc.edu / 459-3229).

Equipment in the Library Classroom includes either a Macintosh PowerBook or Dell PC instructor workstation and full network access to the library's catalog (Cruzcat), the UC-wide catalog (Melvyl), all library databases, the Internet, and the World Wide Web. The classroom is equipped with data projectors and screens, a dry-erase board, and rolling tables with rolling chairs. A document camera is also available. The room may be set up as a traditional classroom, or a hands-on lab with sixteen wireless iBook workstations.
